In a career that lasted only 5 years, from 1974 to 1979 The Bothy Band became one of the most influential Irish music groups of the 20th century. Their music was dynamic and vibrant, with a strong rhythmic base of guitar/bouzouki, and set the standard for traditional groups in later years.

With Matt Molloy (Irish flute) Paddy Keenan (Uilleann Pipes) and Paddy Glackin, Tommy Peoples then Kevin Burke on fiddle, Triona Ni Domhnaill on  clavecin and Mícheál Ó Domhnaill on guitar.
