Iconic Irish group The Bothy Band will reunite for a rare performance at Celtic Connections 2024. Known for revolutionizing traditional music, the group will play at the Glasgow Royal Concert Hall on January 22, 2024. The festival, running from January 18 to February 4, features a diverse lineup, including acoustic, jazz, and experimental music.

This marks The Bothy Band’s first major concert in over four decades. Original members Donal Lunny, Tríona ní Dhomhnaill, Matt Molloy, Paddy Keenan, Paddy Glackin, and Kevin Burke, with Seán Óg Graham as a guest, will celebrate their influential legacy, remembered for their dynamic albums and live shows. Tickets will be available from November 9, 2023, at 10 am. Donald Shaw, Creative Producer for the festival, highlights the significance of their return, inviting fans to experience the rich musical offerings of the event.
