Planxty is an Irish group, formed in the 70's with Christy Moore (guitar & vocals) Donal Lunny (bouzouki) Andy Irvine (vocals, mandolin, mandola) and Liam O'Flynn (uilleann pipes) The band has lasted on and off for over thirty years, and have become enormously popular with their unique blend of Irish traditional music, songs and folk music.
