John Joe Kelly is a bodhran player from Manchester. He has played with Altan and Paul Brady, frequently performs with Michael McGoldrick and is the bodhran player with the group Flook.

With Flook he plays in a technical contemporary, top end style, with great variation in tone and rhythm.

 

 

Johnny Ringo McDonagh has been playing bodhran since 1967. Bodhran player with the group De Danann, he later formed Arcady and recorded and performed with many top Irish musicians, including Mary Bergin (on her albums Feadoga Stain 1 & 2), Altan and whistle player Sean Ryan.

 

Seán Ó Riada (1 August 1931 - 3 October 1971), was a composer and bandleader, and perhaps the single most influential figure in the renaissance of Irish traditional music from the 1960s, through his participation in Ceoltóirí Chualann, his compositions, his writings and his broadcasts on the topic.
