Clare fiddler Martin Hayes performs a solo gig in Johnston’s Hall, Kinvara, on Friday April 27 at 8.30pm.
This will be Hayes’ first concert in Kinvara and  is hosted by Kinvara Area Music Collective. Tickets are €15/12.50 on sale at Connolly’s Bar and The Healing Harvest shop in Kinvara. Booking can be arranged by contacting 087 - 2405987.

The Leitrim Fleadh Cheoil is taking place in Drumshanbo this weekend, from April 26-29. There will be a singers night in Monica's Pub Thursday with Fionnalla Maxwell, and a session on Friday night following the Fleadh launch in Lough Allen Hotel.

The competitions take place Saturday and Sunday, with sessions taking place throughout the village all weekend. There is a traditional mass in St PAtrick's church Sunday morning, followed by a session in Henry's Haven. An open air busking competition takes place Sunday evening.

At the end of April 2012 Kilfenora will stage its 4th annual music festival, a series commenced in 2009 with the 100th anniversary of the Kilfenora Céilí Band.
As usual, it will concentrate on Kilfenora’s twin strengths – great céilís and great pub sessions.

Sessions will start on Wednesday and finish on Monday, as always with the cream of Clare and Kilfenora musicians. That includes a Singers’ night on Friday.
Céilís will take place each evening from Thursday to Sunday with various top bands.
On Sunday, the great Kilfenora Céilí Band will play for a free céilí in the Square, and also launch their latest CD “Chapter 8" to their home crowd. A few special guests may join in.
On Saturday, the legendary Four Men & a Dog will be in concert, making a rare appearance in Clare.
Before the festival on Saturday 7 April, listen to RTE Radio 1?s “Ceili House” for a recording of a special session in Linnane’s pub, giving a taste of what is to come.
On Sunday 12.30-13.30, the popular Galway singer Don Stiffe wil be appearing free at a concert in St.Fachnan’s Cathedral provided by Riches of Clare, supported by Padraic and Damian O’Reilly from Corofin on piano and accordion respectively, and also Galway fiddler Ronan O’Flaherty.

The 3rd Annual "Clifden Traditional Music Festival" will take place on the weekend of the 13th–15th April 2012.

Clifden town in Connemara, Co. Galway, will be immersed in music for the duration of the weekend, with music in the public houses and hotels, as well as on the streets and on a specially constructed stage in the Town's Market Square. The highlight will be the free outdoor performance on Saturday night, 14th April, at 7.30pm, given by All Ireland Champions, the 'Dartry Ceili Band'. A host of local and visiting musicians, singers and dancers will also take to the stage.
