Tradschool is organising an Irish fiddle workshop with Patrick Ourceau the weekend of May 7, 2011,  at the Gîte de Chasteuil.

A member of the group Chulrua, Patrick was born and raised in France and moved to the US in 1989, where he played with and was influenced by musicians like Andy McGann and Jack Coen. Influenced greatly by the music of Clare and East Galway, he has frequently travelled to Ireland. Over the years, he has during those trips, been able to play with and learn from Paddy Canny, as well as from many other local musicians including flute and fiddle player Peadar O'Loughlin.

In 2004 he released Live at Mona's a live recording project praised by critics and fans alike as one of the best recent releases of Irish traditional music. He has taght at workshops during the Fleadh Nua in Ennis, and with the Armagh Piper's Club, as well as in many high-profile events in the US and Canada.

The workshop is taking place over 2 days, with meals and accomodation included.

To sign up, please contact me at info@tradschool, or at 06 16 23 46 64 (leave message if not available, I'll get back to you as soon as possible)

Hi Matt,
Thanks for the contact. The gîte isn't full, it has been reserved for the full weekend for the workshop. Because of our arrangement with the owners of the gîte, we are offering the workshop as a package deal, to include accomodation. Regrettably, we can't offer tuition only. The goal of the weekend is for students to be able to benefit from the teacher in an intimate setting, which is why we're offering the on-site programme - it's something that has always worked for us in the past. I hope you understand!
For any more info, please contact me at info@tradschool .com

Hi there, I live in Braux 04240 and would like to come to Chasteuil for this workshop. I'm interested in getting lessons for the weekend. I think the Gite is full but we intend to camp. Do I need to do anything else in order to make this reservation? Thanks in advance, Matt
